We invite you to visit on Memorial Day weekend at your leisure, or join us for Open House on May 31, 2025. Event info: https://www.projectgallantlyforward.org/event/open-house/
If you’d like to visit another time, please contact us and let us know when you’ll be coming so we will be expecting you.
In 2024, we created the Veteran Memorial Fenceline in honor of Memorial Day. Since Project Gallantly Forward is supported by the community we serve, we offered the space on each fence post to honor the Veterans of our community. This opportunity re-opens intermittently. If you’d like to have your Veteran included on the fence line, check back for this opportunity.
Memorial Fenceline Shields are currently not available for purchase.
Details for purchasing are as follows:
We will be offering custom shields “In Memory Of” or “In Honor Of” your Veteran. Shields are available for purchase until 5/1/2025 and will be placed on the fence posts at PGF by Memorial Day.
What will funds raised be used for? Project Gallantly Forward is a Veteran’s retreat located on the outskirts of Chattanooga, TN. We were established in 2023 and are currently open for Veterans who would like to bring an RV or camper and stay at the retreat. We are raising funds to support infrastructure and finish two cabins in order to expand our capacity to bring additional Veterans on-site. We offer a non-traditional approach to provide healing for the visible and invisible wounds of war by offering a peaceful Veteran retreat in rural Tennessee. Participation in the program is free of charge to Veterans with their loved ones. Veterans have access to a private working farm where they can have the time and space to begin healing while in the company of other Veterans who are on the same path.
Details: Shields are 14 gauge stainless steel and approximately 12×13 inch. 52 shields are available for purchase, one for each fence post on the fence line.
Character limit for names: 12 (including 1/2 a character for spaces), plus a 4 character space for rank, with option to add on a second character plate.
